Mystery at the Central State Archives: a file on Emanuela Orlandi , the Vatican citizen who disappeared in 1983, originating from the Ministry of the Interior, has been found empty .

This is what emerged in the last session of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry chaired by Senator Andrea De Priamo, established precisely to try to shed light on the Orlandi mystery and that of Mirella Gregori , another young woman who vanished into thin air in Rome in the same year.

As reconstructed by Simona Greco , an official of the Archive and head of the Special Collections Room , the file in question had been “poured” by the Ministry of the Interior to the Central Archive in 2017 as a result of the Renzi directive on the declassification of massacres. But there is no longer any trace of its content.
