The clinical conditions of Oliviero Toscani are increasingly serious . He has been hospitalized since the early afternoon of Friday 10 January in the intensive care unit of the hospital in Cecina , in the province of Livorno, with a reserved prognosis.

The photographer , who has been suffering from amyloidosis for two years, a disease he himself defined as incurable , is no longer conscious , although he is breathing on his own, and doctors, according to what has been learned, have detected a series of damages to some vital organs.

Toscani's wife Kirsti Moseng, a former Norwegian model who has been with him for 50 years, said: "It seems like a one-way street." Other relatives are also in the hospital.

On the morning of Friday, January 10, Toscani had left his home in Casale Marittimo, in the province of Pisa, by ambulance. First he arrived at the emergency room at the hospital in Cecina, then he was transferred to intensive care.
