The landings in Lampedusa do not stop where, since midnight, 340 migrants have arrived. Six boats, all set sail from Libya , were hooked or rescued by the Guardia di Finanza and the Port Authority. On board there were from a minimum of 45 to a maximum of 84 self-styled Egyptians, Bangladeshis, Syrians, Sudanese, Eritreans, Ethiopians, Moroccans and Pakistanis.

One of the small boats, with 48 people on board - including a woman - was "shadowed" by the NGO Nadir to prevent it from capsizing. Another was instead helped with the intervention of the Aurora Sar of the NGO Sea Watch. Yesterday, on the largest of the Pelagie islands, there were 12 landings with a total of 593 migrants. The last one, in chronological order, before midnight, occurred directly in Cala Croce: the carabinieri blocked 56 Eritreans and Egyptians - including 5 women - who were trying to reach the road.

In the meantime, the Prefecture of Agrigento has arranged for the transfer of 148 people from the hotspot (where there are currently 788 migrants) by mid-morning. They will be boarded on the regular ferry which will arrive in Porto Empedocle in the evening.
