They wanted to bathe dressed, as prescribed by their religion, but were attacked by other bathers.

It happens near Trieste's Lido Pedocin, the only one in Europe since 1903 where a wall divides men from women with children. A group of Muslim women was about to enter the water, in the women's section, when the other vacationers attacked them: "Here you dress, you don't have to bathe".

The tones have risen more and more, so much so that the security of the plant had to intervene on the spot to try to restore calm.

"The problem is not that they come to bathe in their clothes but the fact is that they have gone everywhere with those clothes and have gone for a walk throughout the city, it's not hygienic ", explained a lady, who he does not call himself a racist: «Rather a clean person».

There was no shortage of bathers who defended the group of Muslim women, appealing to the "constitutional right to bathe as one wishes" and recalling freedom of religion. But the followers of Islam eventually left anyway.
