Mourning in the world of horse racing: the jockey who fell from his horse at the Pisa racecourse has died

Mourning in the world of horse racing. Dominik Pastuszka, the 35-year-old Polish jockey who had been living in Merano for many years and who had been hospitalized in very serious conditions since last Thursday after falling from his horse during an obstacle race at the hippodrome, died this morning at the hospital in Pisa. of San Rossore.

The animal was also injured in the accident and was then euthanized by veterinarians in the following hours.

Pastuszka hit his head in the fall, suffering several skull fractures which had caused a cerebral hemorrhage: his condition immediately appeared to be very critical and he arrived unconscious at the hospital where he was intubated.

The jockey leaves behind his partner and a one and a half year old daughter.
