Yesterday evening in Lanciano two students from Lanciano, recent high school graduates, died instantly after a terrible motorcycle crash, first against an olive tree and then against a reinforced concrete pole on the edge of the road parallel to the Lanciano-Fossacesia provincial road.
The victims are Carlo Rizzi, 18, riding a Honda, and Giorgia Apollonio, 19. They were wearing helmets that came off on impact . The immediate arrival of paramedics was in vain.
In the first reconstruction of the Carabinieri of Ortona there would not be the involvement of other vehicles, the high speed is suspected as the cause. The investigation is coordinated by the prosecutor Miriana Greco.
