New Year's Eve with moments of tension in the San Siro district of Milan , where in via Zamagna and in piazza Selinunte the officers of the mobile police department intervened for young people who, on several occasions, piled up household goods and then set them on fire and damaged the glass of a police vehicle.

However, a total of around 25 thousand people celebrated New Year's Eve in Piazza Duomo in Milan. The police checked approximately 1,500 people in general, with six young people accompanied to the police station because they had no documents .

Six others were reported to the prosecutor's office: three for carrying objects capable of offending, one for dangerous ignition and explosions, one for failing to comply with the obligation to reside in the municipality of Turin and one for illegally carrying a weapon.

Hundreds of police officers and Carabinieri operators were engaged in Piazza Duomo, in the surrounding areas and in meeting places such as the Navigli, Corso Como or the San Siro district.
