Alarm this morning in Milan for what was thought to be a double incendiary device placed a few steps from the headquarters of the Moby Tirrenia travel agency, in the Piazza Missori area.

Next to the entrance to the building at number 26 in Via Larga, where the Lebanese consulate is also located, a passer-by saw a blaze about one and a half meters high and alerted the police. Then the discovery of another suspicious object sparked further fears.

In fact, it was thought of a device ready to explode, also because a ticket was found on the envelope with the (apparent) written in Arabic " click in three minutes " with a telephone number.

However, it was not a question of homemade incendiary devices as hypothesized at first, but of batteries for electric bikes .

After the alarm, the area was cordoned off , with the intervention of bomb squads, police and firefighters.

The anti- terrorism section of the Digos of Milan, coordinated by the head of the district section of the prosecutor's office Alberto Nobili, immediately started investigations.

And in the end, as mentioned, the alert returned: the Arabic writing on the envelope had been misinterpreted . A translation error: not "it clicks in 3 minutes" but "downloads in 3 minutes" .
