Mauro Buratti didn't make it. No vax convinced and denier of Covid, he was known as Mauro da Mantova, frequent guest of the radio show "La Zanzara", where he expounded his anti-vaccination theses.

61-year-old coachbuilder, for a few weeks he was hospitalized in intensive care at the Borgo Trento hospital in Verona after contracting Covid.

He didn't even want to go to the hospital, and he went too late because he was convinced by Giuseppe Cruciani, together with Parenzo, conductor of La Zanzara.

A few days before ending up in the hospital he had boasted - just to the microphones of La Zanzara - that he had gone to the supermarket with a fever of 38 and the mask lowered under his nose.

He did not want to go to the hospital, Cruciani convinced him when he learned that the saturation was well below the alarm threshold. But Mauro refused Mantua: "I don't trust, there are Communists in that hospital". And it ended up in Borgo Trento. In the last message recorded and sent to the Mosquito he had said: "I have been diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia".

Giuseppe Cruciani remembered him like this: “Mauro is no longer there. I hoped, we hoped, that his skin could once again win over everything. Anything. He was a hard head, and that damn week was possibly fatal. He had decided to live in a certain way, no one would have stopped him and our large community loved him despite his distortions, his theories, his moods ".

Again: “I keep all your insulting messages in my heart. You were Belvaman, you wanted to be King, the radio interventionist par excellence, you were happy when someone recognized you on the street and asked you for a selfie. You were, you are, Mauro from Mantua. We made fun of you, you insulted us, we talked about it all the way to the threshold of a court, but we had fun like never in life. And today I got a blow to the heart. Emptiness prevails in the soul, and I think of that screen on the radio where there will no longer be written: Mauro from Mantua, wants to speak. Hi Maurone, wherever you are ".
