The man who allegedly stabbed a 37-year-old man, who later died , on the beach at Prolungamento di Savona has turned himself in to the Milan Lambrate police station.

He is a 52-year-old Italian citizen, now accused of murder.

The victim, of North African origin, was attacked with a knife on Sunday afternoon on the Ligurian city's coastline, in front of numerous swimmers. He was then rushed to the hospital in a desperate attempt, where he died.

The attacker, however, fled and turned himself in to the police today. Investigations are continuing to fully understand the incident and its motive.
