The man who yesterday morning barricaded himself in his house in Cordovado , in the province of Pordenone, has not responded to calls from the carabinieri for hours. Yesterday evening, at 19.45 and at 22.03, he published two videos on YouTube in which he accuses a marshal and another negotiator of instigating suicide "for trivial reasons", two long monologues of 6 and over 7 minutes, at times ranting that seem to prelude to an insane gesture which, however, would not involve third parties. And he reiterates that he has not shown any violent intent that would justify a raid.

In the last clip of today's late morning he says instead: "You thought I had already killed myself, because you know the kind of stress you cause, given the pressure you put with this type of operation". «I don't have any suicidal tendencies - are the man's words - and you know exactly that if I had been dangerous I could have taken action all these months, against the people you evicted yesterday. Instead I am harmless, I have never represented any danger to the community.

He is a 55-year-old man, unemployed, ex-military, with some psychological problems. What makes him dangerous is the fact that, as the commissioner of Pordenone, Luca Carocci, said, "he has many rifles for sporting use". The action by the police forces - in which personnel from the provincial command and special departments of the Arma are participating - resulted from threats made via the web by the man to some authorities in the province. He had posted videos in which he threatened blatant gestures or even self-harm if his weapons were confiscated.

The building where he lives, for safety reasons, was evacuated, as were some nearby shops, and, to isolate him, the electricity and gas supplies to his apartment were cut off.

«His attitudes derive, in all likelihood, from the punctual checks by our offices - Carocci affirmed - which made it possible to highlight anomalies in the psychophysical balance of this subject, at the time of renewal of the permit for possession of weapons. To continue using those rifles, he would have had to produce a certificate of psychophysical fitness, which he never delivered». The offices of the Questura had therefore informed the prefect, who in turn had signed the deed of seizure of the rifles, instructing the carabinieri to proceed, given the unwillingness expressed by the subject to voluntarily surrender the weapons. From what has been learned, however, the man, having received the notification, had instead posted some threats on social media if he had proceeded with the seizure of the weapons anyway.
