A hairdryer left on on the sofa would be the cause of a fire that in Curtarolo, in the Padua area, caused the death of a 37-year-old. To find him unconscious was his girlfriend who could not get in touch with him and decided to go to the house. Upon his arrival he saw the flames and immediately gave the alarm, the Fire Brigade intervened in a few minutes and recovered Alessandro Paronitti already in desperate conditions. He was rescued by the 118 health workers who, after the first resuscitation attempts, had a helicopter arrive to transport him quickly to the hospital where, however, the man died shortly after, probably due to the fumes.

Investigations are underway to establish the exact origins of the stake.
