Inter striker Lautaro Martinez was sentenced to compensation by the Labor Section of the Court of Milan for having fired a 27-year-old babysitter who suffered from a serious illness and died a few months later.

The dismissal, considered illegitimate by the judge, would have occurred during the woman's "behavior" period, that is, during the days of illness after receiving the terrible diagnosis.

Now he will have to compensate his family. The world champion had hired the young woman, who was also of Argentine nationality, eight months before she showed the first symptoms.

On the matter, the Nerazzurri striker explained on social media: «I decided to remain silent for a long time out of respect for a family that has never had it against us. But I won't let them tarnish mine."

«We hired an already sick person - he wrote in Spanish on Instagram – a lifelong friend, until unfortunately he was no longer able to work because his illness did not allow him to. After having done so much for her and her family, taking care of the tickets for their arrival, helping to find hospital beds when she collapsed, helping her with her treatment, with the accommodation of the family who we had to convince to come and take care of of the daughter who was dying."

According to the footballer, the relatives would have "waited until their daughter was on the verge of dying and was not lucid to try to get money from us".
