The story of Laura and Andrea moves the whole web. A love story, but not one with "they lived happily ever after". Because Laura died a few days after the ceremony, succumbing to the disease that ravaged her body. Not before having said that last "yes" to his Andrea.

It is the hospice il Tulipano of the Niguarda hospital in Milan that tells about this love and publishing images in which the woman is seen leaving the structure on the bed and arriving at what has been set up as an altar together with family members and health professionals. Tears and emotion are the feelings experienced by all.

"Once again the care given to the people - patients and family members - entrusted to our Hospice Il Tulipano led us to celebrate the love, in this case that between Laura and Andrea who have chosen to marry - writes the staff on social media -. It is always a very exciting moment, which involves the whole team, including volunteers. A moment in which all the staff feel 'privileged' in being able to accompany, even if with a background of sadness, significant stages in the life of our patients. Unfortunately a few days after the celebration Laura left us but her loved ones wanted to share this moment. Events like this push us to continue our work with ever greater professionalism and humanity. We are increasingly convinced that curing a disease is a loser if we do not take care of the person as a whole to heart. This always, not only in palliative care or in the termination phase ”, finally reads the post.
