L'Aquila, tragedy at the Air Show: a man hit and killed by a heavy vehicle

The victim is Paolo Dal Pozzo, co-pilot of the 118 helicopter rescue service in L'Aquila, 41 years old.
According to an initial reconstruction, he was hit by a tanker maneuvering for routine aircraft refueling operations on the airport runway. He was probably in a blind spot where visibility from the mirrors is minimal.
The demonstration has been suspended for today; Preturo airport remains open with stands set up for the public.
