The regions and autonomous provinces classified at moderate risk due to the presence of coronavirus cases rise from 4 to 18. Sardinia, Basilicata and Valle d'Aosta remain classified as low risk. 13 those that report a resilience alert.
These are the data that emerge from the latest ISS report, the Higher Institute of Health, according to which the expected RT, ie the data projected to next week, exceeds the epidemic threshold of 1 and reaches 1.14.
The weekly incidence of new positives makes a leap forward: nationally it reaches 46 cases of Covid per 100,000 inhabitants (period from 22 to 28 October), compared to 34 last week.
In the period 6 October - 19 October the mean Rt calculated on symptomatic cases was equal to 0.96 (range 0.83 - 1.16), just below the epidemic threshold and a marked increase compared to the previous week when it reached the value of 0.86.
The report also clarifies: "It is believed that the estimates of Rt are not very sensitive to the recent increase in the number of swabs performed, since these estimates are based only on symptomatic and / or hospitalized cases".
And in this regard, ordinary hospitalizations are increasing while intensive care remains stable. The employment rate of the latter is 3.7%, that of the medical areas rises to 4.5% from 4.2% last week.
