Insults and beatings on the bus: fear for a 22-year-old disabled man, also targeted for the color of his skin

A 22-year-old disabled man of Egyptian origin was insulted and beaten by a man, who will now have to answer for injuries, beatings and insults aggravated by racial hatred.

It happened in Monza, on board a bus. According to the reconstruction of the incident, a 47-year-old man noticed the young man and started cursing him for the color of his skin and making fun of him for his disability.

The frightened boy then phoned his father, asking him to go and wait for him at the bus stop. But right at the bus stop the situation escalated: the 47-year-old actually pushed the 22-year-old to the ground and then punched his parent.

At that point some passers-by and the police also intervened.

The 47-year-old - already known to the police - was thus stopped and identified.
