They left to themselves the non self-sufficient elderly they had to assist. They were administering expired drugs. And they would have also induced a man over ninety to sign a handwritten will, in order to obtain money and real estate belonging to him.

With these accusations two people - who ran a retirement home in Pecetto , on the outskirts of Turin - were arrested by the Guardia di Finanza.

During the investigations, the financiers of the Susa Company, also using telephone and environmental interceptions, collected evidence of criminally relevant conduct and found in the rest home the absence of specific professional, social and health figures (in particular, nursing ), necessary for the care of patients, some of whom are not self-sufficient.

In conjunction with the visit carried out by the inspectors of the ASL geriatric evaluation unit commission, the managers of the nursing home also brought two non-self-sufficient guests back to their home, with the aim of hiding their presence and avoiding the redevelopment of the housing community for the elderly in an Rsa.

At the end of the investigations, the current accounts of the suspects were seized and the entire health facility, the elderly guests were relocated to authorized RSAs. The financiers finally found that the association violated the tax law.
