The story starring Beniamino Zuncheddu has always been surrounded by many dark sides. The man has been serving a life sentence for over thirty years for triple murder.

The Radical Party has organized a demonstration in Rome to draw public attention to the case of the former pastor of Burcei, now 58 years old. The appointment, open to all, is set for 19 September at 11 am (the venue will be confirmed in a few days). The story will be told by Zuncheddu's lawyer, Mario Trogu.

In 1991 in Sinnai, there was a massacre that made Zuncheddu the protagonist - despite himself - of an endless judicial affair. Only last March did the Court of Appeal of Rome accept the request for a review of the trial .

Three people were killed, one survived, due to issues related to disagreements between farmers. The only survivor had been intercepted while he was talking to his wife and had revealed: «They wanted me to say that Marieddu (the policeman who had worked on the crimes) showed me the photograph», that of Zuncheddu, «before», i.e. in in advance of the official recognition, "they understood that it really is like this, and it is the truth...". So for the prosecution this meant that "the only source of evidence" against Zuncheddu was "unreliable" and "the main evidence that led to the conviction" was "false".
