Massacre and attack on transport safety.

These are the charges to which a 24-year-old Milanese man must answer, guilty of having , together with two other people, currently wanted, stretched a steel cable at eye level, perpendicular to the roadway, in Viale Toscana in Milan. A very busy road, frequented at all hours of the day by cars, buses, scooters and bicycles.

“It was a stunt,” the 24-year-old attempted to defend himself, questioned last night by the police and then arrested on the orders of prosecutor Enrico Pavone. The military, alerted by a resident who had just returned home and saw the three stretching the cable, managed to remove it before it could harm anyone.

The rope had been taken from a nearby construction site and the three had stretched it between a tree and a shelter of the Transport Company.

The young man, now in prison in San Vittore, has a police record and lives in the area where he was stopped. The police are now looking for the two accomplices.
