Benno Neumair will go to trial.

This was decided by the investigating judge of Bolzano Emilio Schoensberg by indicting the thirty-year-old who killed his parents , Laura and Peter last January 4, strangling them with a lanyard and then throwing their corpses into the Adige river from the Vadena bridge.

The young man is accused of multiple aggravated murder and body concealment. Arrested on January 29, he is currently in prison in Bolzano.

The request of the abbreviated defense was rejected. The first hearing was set for March 4th.

THE DOUBLE MURDER - The thirty-year-old had denied any responsibility for over a month: after the discovery of his mother's body in the river, on February 6, he collapsed and confessed to the double crime.

Peter was strangled by his son after a brief scuffle, while Laura was killed on the same day, but later, on her return home, after visiting her elderly mother who had just been released from the hospital.

The body of Peter Neumair, on the other hand, was found in the Adige only on April 27, at Ravina, a hamlet south of Trento, almost four months after his disappearance.
