First she hit him, then she stopped just to move the remains from the bicycle that were stuck under the car and went away.

A 35-year-old woman resident in the Casatese area (in the province of Lecco) was issued with a precautionary custody order for having run over and killed a 39-year-old man. The accident occurred on Sunday morning in Olginate (Lecco).

According to the accusation, the woman hit the victim with her Volkswagen Polo, along the provincial road . Boukare Guebre, married father of three children, originally from Burkina Faso, was going to work when he was hit and thrown to the ground, while the wreckage of the bicycle got stuck under the car. A passerby, seeing the broken down woman just beyond the area of the accident, tried to help her but soon realized that the driver was doing everything he could to get rid of him and escape. At that point he became suspicious, and in fact a little further on there was the body of a man.

He called for help, but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done for Guebre.

The police, cross-referencing testimonies and camera footage, tracked down the investor, who also tested positive for alcohol . Hence the restrictive measure requested and obtained by the Lecco Prosecutor's Office for road homicide and driver escape.
