Her car breaks down, she gets out to report the car stopped in the dark and is hit and killed.

The tragedy occurred shortly after midnight along the provincial road 115 near Salerano sul Lambro, in the Lodi area.

The victim is Mariachiara Bossi, a 47-year-old from Milan. She was traveling alone on that dark provincial road and when her car stopped she got out to report it, but she was hit by a passing motorist, a 60-year-old who, having immediately stopped, alerted the emergency services.

The woman was then taken to the nearby hospital in Vizzolo Predabissi where she died almost immediately. The Carabinieri, in charge of the investigation, and the firefighters arrived at the scene of the accident. Both vehicles were seized.
