In early January, Antonio Calandrino had died at the Villa Sofia hospital in Palermo due to the consequences of a fall from a staircase on Christmas Eve 2021. Today a 23-year-old woman was arrested by the carabinieri of Castelvetrano (in the province of Trapani , where the facts took place), on the orders of the investigating judge of Marsala.

The accusation is that of murder: it would have been the young woman who pushed the victim making her fall, at the height of a quarrel that broke out for futile reasons.

Calandrino, a 62-year-old coachbuilder, fell from a height of about three meters and suffered very serious injuries and the doctors' attempts to save his life were in vain.

The investigations by the Arma military then made it possible to reconstruct the excited moments of that evening and to ascertain, also thanks to the outcome of the autopsy, the "causal link between the thrust that the young woman inflicted on the victim and the death of the 'man".

The 23-year-old, in the past denounced for other violent acts, was thus taken to prison, at the disposal of the judicial authority.
