Investigations continue into the death of Massimo Melis, the operator of the Green Cross of Sardinian origin (mother of Assemini and father of Cagliari) killed in Turin at the beginning of November, in what has been renamed the Halloween murder .

The investigators carried out an inspection along the Dora river, in an attempt to trace the murder weapon, the 38 Special revolver that Luigi Oste, 62, accused of being the killer of the 52-year-old and now in prison, would have used.

The divers of the fire brigade and the police entered the action, sounding the bottom of the river at the Carpanini bridge. At the moment, however, the searches have given negative results.

As for the possible motive, Melis would have been killed because he would have defended a friend from the insistence of the Innkeeper.

Against the latter, the investigating judge recognized the existence of two aggravating circumstances, namely premeditation and futile reasons.

"The murderer - the prosecutor Anna Maria Loreto explained - hit Melis to punish the woman, considered an object that has no right to rebel".
