Half a ton of pure cocaine, hidden in a warehouse in Frattamaggiore, in the province of Naples. The carabinieri made the discovery.
The drug, which if placed on the retail market would have earned over 50 million euros, was hidden in 20 cartons containing different packages usually used for fruit.
The military is now continuing its investigations, coordinated by the Naples District Attorney, to try to establish the origin of the narcotic substance and to identify those responsible for the illicit trafficking.
