"The state pays the tampons to the workers." Beppe Grillo intervenes in the debate on the Green pass, which in three days will also be mandatory in public and private workplaces.

"The workers without vaccine - writes on his blog the founder M5S - could be 3-3.5 million out of 23 million workers, about 13-15%. It would take about one billion euros until December 2021 to pay them for tampons to join the company ".

The cost of the tampon “should only be advanced by the company but paid as an adjustment by the INPS, as happens for the ordinary cig on the payment of company contributions. This mechanism would not invade privacy and would have two advantages: to be fast, to avoid queues and checks at company turnstiles, and to be free for workers ”.

On the Green pass, "a pacification is needed," says Grillo. "To date there are about 41 million Italians with complete vaccination, 80% of those over 12. It is one of the best data in Europe, and should suggest that the no vax people in Italy are very small".

The Minister of Labor Andrea Orlando (Pd) does not agree with him: "I have always said that it seems reasonable to me to think of all possible forms of control, but making the tampon become free basically means that those who have been vaccinated have wrong. I think we must say that those who go to work and are not yet convinced can also have a partially different treatment compared to those who do not have to go to work ”.

The Undersecretary of the Interior Carlo Sibilia (M5S) is also against Beppe Grillo's proposal: "Assuming and not conceding that there is 1 billion available, I would use these resources to help families who have died from the pandemic. Okay that you arrive at controlled prices for tampons, but vaccines are free. Those who do not have a green pass today are no vax ", he told Skytg24.
