The first degree trial begins today against Alessandro Impagnatiello, the 30-year-old former barman in a luxury hotel accused of the murder on May 27 of his girlfriend Giulia Tramontano , a 29-year-old who was seven months pregnant and killed in Senego, in the Milan area, with 37 stab wounds.

The accused, detained in San Vittore, is also present in the courtroom of the Court of Assizes of Milan: he arrived accompanied by prison police officers, with a lowered gaze and bowed head, beard and moustache, wearing a dark jacket, jeans and sneakers. gymnastics. For a few moments he cried, his tears were clearly visible .

The victim's relatives also arrived, all sitting next to each other: his father Franco, his mother Loredana, his brother Mario and his sister Chiara.

Many, too many people in court: before the start of the hearing, journalists and onlookers were made to leave the packed courtroom.

Giulia Tramontano's family members hope that Impagnatiello's conduct "is sanctioned as it deserves", therefore with "life imprisonment" , explained the plaintiff's lawyer Giovanni Cacciapuoti.
