It is the former Olympic skier Vera Schenone, 84 years old, the woman who this afternoon fired several gunshots at her 52 year old neighbor, seriously wounding him.
The episode occurred in via Cantamerla in Moncalieri, in the Turin area. Around 2:30 p.m., at the height of an argument over neighborly problems, the woman took the gun legally owned by her husband and shot the man, hitting him in the abdomen and arms. The injured man was rescued by 118 personnel and transported in red code to the Molinette hospital in Turin.
Her life is not in danger. The pensioner was taken to the police station to be questioned.
