Railway traffic interrupted between Florence and Bologna.

The derailment of a carriage of a freight train in the Firenze Castello station caused inconvenience and delays. The Italian railway network (RFI) announced this in a press release. "The accident caused damage but no injuries ," assures the company. «Railway traffic is interrupted between Florence and Bologna both on the high-speed line and on the historic one. Rfi, together with the transport companies, is rescheduling the services and informing travelers in the stations and with all the tools available".

According to forecasts, railway traffic on the north-south backbone will remain severely compromised for a few hours , «with total and partial cancellations of journeys, until the efficiency of the infrastructure is restored on which Rfi technicians are working. More information will follow."
