Fatal accident at work: truck driver crushed by a gate

Another accident at work, this time in Soncino, in the Cremona area, where a truck driver died after being crushed by the gate of a farmhouse he was entering.

The man, a 52-year-old of Moldovan origin, had to deliver feed and knew the procedures for entry. No one witnessed the tragedy and investigations are underway. From a first hypothesis, the gate - weighing several tons and with manual opening - could have given way hitting the victim. Some residents noticed the body on the ground and called 911. Any attempt to save the driver's life proved futile.
