The son fails his second year of high school: the parents sue the school and ask for 30 thousand euros for pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages. The TAR not only rejects the appeal but orders them to pay 2 thousand euros to the school and the ministry.
The Corriere della Sera reports: according to the parents, the school had not respected the commitments required by both the school regulations and the Pdp (personalized educational plan) of the boy, who suffers from a specific learning disorder, or Dsa, consisting of "a medium-level dyslexia. Slowness in the execution of the graphic act. Clinical range for internalized problems and anxiety".
For the parents, therefore, the school, instead of helping him, would have worked to marginalize him from the school context. The boy "would have suffered denigrating and discriminatory treatment" with completely unjustified notes.
But for the judges of the TAR of Florence, things did not go that way and above all "the parents' objections are aimed at obtaining a full-scale criminal investigation into the teachers' actions in their relationships with the student, which is unacceptable".
The appeal was, in fact, declared "inadmissible and in any case unfounded", at the end of the first-degree administrative trial.
