Leaving the Institute of Forensic Medicine after nearly three hours of 3D examinations and measurements, Andrea Sempio was accompanied by his lawyers, Angela Taccia and Liborio Cataliotti, and consultant Armando Palmegiani. Addressing reporters, he tried to appear calm: "I'm fine, everything's fine." But his expression betrayed a more pronounced concern than before.

The occasion concerns the "anthropometric measurements" ordered by prosecutor Giuliana Rizza and deputy prosecutor Stefano Civardi, entrusted to pathologist Cristina Cattaneo, already involved in the delicate investigations into Yara Gambirasio.

The expert's task is to reconstruct the dynamics of Chiara Poggi's murder, including determining the time of death, in an investigation that Prosecutor Fabio Napoleone has described as a more comprehensive analysis of the evidence collected, both from the victim and at the crime scene.

Cattaneo's work is closely linked to the Bloodstain Pattern Analysis studies conducted by the commander of the Cagliari RIS, Andrea Berti. The aim of the investigators and Carabinieri of the Milan Investigative Unit is to reconstruct, from a scientific perspective, the crime, which once again places Andrea Sempio at the center of the investigation, years after the case was quickly closed in 2017.

The measurements of Sempio's stride, limb length, and span of his arms and feet are intended to objectively assess his possible location at the crime scene. Consultant Palmegiani downplays the expectations: "I don't believe these measurements will change the already known dynamics. The doctor will provide objective data, but there are no particular elements that could overturn the reconstruction."

The final results will only come at the end of Cattaneo's report, which could follow the conclusions of the expert Denise Albani on the DNA found under Chiara Poggi's fingernails .

Sempio's lawyer, Angela Taccia, emphasized her client's full cooperation: "He voluntarily consented to the measurements, demonstrating his willingness, even though he could have refused."

Meanwhile, a new development has also been reported in Brescia, where the second investigation concerns alleged corruption related to former prosecutor Mario Venditti. After the preliminary investigation court rejected the seizure of computer devices, including PCs, tablets, and cell phones, prosecutor Claudia Moregola and prosecutor Francesco Prete issued a new seizure order, this time deemed more adequately justified.

The investigation is seeking to clarify any attempts to influence the 2017 investigation , including by verifying audio interceptions that were originally overlooked or deemed "irrelevant." Particular attention is being paid to the case of the double activation of the bug installed on Sempio's Suzuki, which could contain key elements for the continuation of the investigation.
