Three Albanian citizens are in custody as they are seriously suspected, for various reasons, of the crimes of kidnapping and aggravated group sexual violence against an 18-year-old from the Ivory Coast.

The investigations by the Perugia State Police began after the agents rescued the girl, found lying on the ground next to a kitchen knife. In the previous hours, an Albanian man she had met some time before had offered to accompany her from a town in the Aretino region, where the young woman lived, to Florence. Then with an excuse he had instead taken her to a house in Perugia where there were two other Albanians. Forced to take large quantities of alcohol and multiple doses of cocaine, she was stripped and raped in turn by two of the torturers. She had managed to grab a knife to escape but, unarmed, she was brought back to the house and grabbed by the neck. Only thanks to a moment of distraction on the part of the jailers did she escape, finally asking for help from the police, while the Albanians fled.

The investigations of the agents made it possible to trace the identity of the alleged perpetrators.
