Ecstasy kept in the dust of a goldsmith's workshop and then hidden in statuettes in the shape of a teddy bear or Buddha , inserted into parcels and shipped to Australia and the United States from Novara, Milan and Varese.

This is what the soldiers of the Malpensa Guardia di Finanza discovered, who arrested a 47-year-old on charges of international drug trafficking . Also in prison is a Milanese goldsmith , considered by the investigators to be "unsuspected", but in reality the one who allegedly lent his laboratory to store the drugs.

The investigations

According to what was reconstructed by the GdF, between December 2022 and April 2023 the drug dealer would have stored and shipped 61 kilos of ecstasy , with a retail profit of around 10 million euros. The drug trafficker was arrested as he was about to leave for Bangkok . The investigations started from the seizure of a shipment by the German customs. The parcel was sent by an Albanian resident in the province of Varese but the real sender was the arrested drug trafficker. Analyzing all shipments from December 2022 to recent days, the financiers thus discovered a total of 61 kilos of drugs , of which about 9 kilos seized on the Italy-United States route in collaboration with the Central Directorate for Anti-Drug Services. Payments were credited to accounts opened with money transfers or via cryptocurrencies.

To identify the ecstasy was the drug dog "detective Jack" .
