"In Udine to celebrate the 94th national gathering of the Alpini, which this year coincides with Mother's Day, to remember that there is a mother who encompasses them all: the homeland". Giorgia Meloni writes it on social media, on the day she participated in the rally that brought about 70 thousand people to the Friulian city.

The Sardinian deputy of his party, Salvatore Deidda, echoes her: «Thanks to the Alpini and to the association for the great love for the homeland which, from generation to generation, they put at the service of our national community by dedicating body and soul».

Deidda adds: «I had the honor and good fortune to experience the ascent of the Lagazuoi peak with them and appreciate the history and activity. I hope one day to be able to host the gathering in our beloved Sardinia».

According to reports from Ansa, there have been no incidents or tensions in Udine, after the controversy erupted last year over alleged harassment of some women.
