This is the hypothesis of the Milan prosecutor Francesco De Tommasi in the investigation into the tragedy in which the woman died, stabbed in the throat.

The public prosecutor also ordered autopsies to determine whether the man, the perpetrator of a premeditated murder and attempted murder, had taken narcotic substances .

The investigation is reconstructing the last 48 hours of De Maria's life, between the escape and the suicide, also to understand if someone, unaware of his plan, gave him hospitality.

The investigations are trying to ascertain what he did during the hours he disappeared from the camera monitors and from the telephone cells. At the moment it is known that he turned off his cell phone and called his mother and sister-in-law with Chamila's phone - which he then threw in a trash can on Via Bignami - to ask for "forgiveness" and explaining to them that he had made a "blunder" .

After 5 pm on Friday, when he was caught on the subway stairs, all traces of him were lost until the next morning, when at 6:17 am he arrived at the Hotel Berna and attempted to kill his colleague . Then he disappeared again, until yesterday, shortly before 2 pm, when he threw himself from the terrace of the Duomo, where he had gone up like a normal tourist, paying for a ticket and without being recognized since the checks concern weapons, explosives or other items, and not the identity of the people.

Hani Nasra, the surviving colleague, has already been interviewed by investigators and investigators, and explained that he warned the 50-year-old, advising her to end the relationship as the 35-year-old had a definitive sentence for stabbing another woman to death in 2016.

Meanwhile , his permission to work outside the prison becomes a case . And it ends up under scrutiny by the Ministry of Justice.

The mayor of Milan Beppe Sala also expressed his opinion: «I understand the dismay, because it is undoubtedly something that is difficult to explain to citizens, how, after a murder, the sentence is 14 years and after not many years the convicted person can be released . But Daniele Tropea, the lawyer of the murderer who was serving his sentence for a femicide committed in 2016, says that De Maria "deserved permission to work outside given the excellent path he had taken inside the prison" .

"His position - the lawyer states - had been evaluated by the educational area of the Bollate prison and by the supervisory magistrate of Milan. I would never have expected anything of what happened and not even that De Maria could break the rules ".
