The mystery remains regarding the death of Giovanni Iacconi. The body of the 54-year-old from Fiorano was found on Saturday afternoon in a family home in Pavullo (Modena).

He was under a bed, wrapped in a blanket, and in an advanced state of decomposition.

The man had not given any news about himself for several days. From what has transpired so far, the body could have been in that apartment for a couple of weeks.

The dramatic discovery was made by his brother who had gone to Pavullo to air out the rooms of the house.

The police are following the trail of the murder and have interviewed several people.

There are some fixed points: the body was wrapped in a sheet and hidden under the bed, which, obviously, the 54-year-old could not have done alone. Therefore, the picture that is currently emerging is twofold: either he was killed and then the murderer took steps to hide the body, or he died for another reason, essentially non-traumatic, and whoever was with him decided to escape and To gain some time. In this sense, the autopsy will provide possible clarifications which evidently have not been found on site, mainly due to the state in which the body was.

Another central point of the story: Iacconi had been missing for several days, had not responded to his brother's calls since January 2nd and the alarm was raised when he was not seen returning to work at the end of the holidays. The death therefore could have occurred more than two weeks ago.
