A risky overtaking on a stretch of roadway marked by a continuous line may have been the cause of the accident which occurred near Pordenone and in which three people died.

A truck, a Red Cross ambulance and an SUV were involved in the crash.

The Carabinieri of the Pordenone provincial command are investigating the dynamics, coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor's Office.

Regional road 177 connects Pordenone to Sequals and is a fast-flowing artery with no intersections and only three junctions. The impact occurred just a few tens of meters from the Pordenone junction.
