All the indicators of the Covid pandemic in Italy and Sardinia continue to decline.

This is what emerges from the latest monitoring of the ISS and the Ministry of Health.

The incidence for the period 17-23 September fell by 9 units compared to the previous week: from 54 cases to 45 per 100 thousand inhabitants. The average Rt calculated on symptomatic cases is also decreasing, which in the period 1-14 September is equal to 0.82, last Friday it was at 0.85.

The pressure on hospitals is also slightly decreasing. The ICU employment rate is 5.4%, up from 6.1% a week ago. It has gone from 554 to 516 hospitalized people. In the medical area, on the other hand, it dropped from 7.2% to 6.8%, to be precise from 4,165 patients to 3,937.

In Sardinia, data in free fall, fortunately: incidence collapsed to 24 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, occupancy rate of medical areas at 11.1%, intensive care occupancy rate at 8.3%.

There are four regions at moderate risk: Piedmont, Valle d'Aosta and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano. The remaining 17, including Sardinia, are classified as low risk.
Island that "disappears" even from the Regions with the highest value of the various indicators. Sicily, the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and Calabria recorded the highest incidence this week: 79.5, 70.6 and 63.6 respectively. The highest percentage of occupancy of beds in the medical area is instead in Calabria (18.5%), Sicily (17.3%), Basilicata (15.4%). For the

intensive care, the largest occupation is in Bolzano (11.3%), then Sicily (10.7%) and Marche (9.6%).
