Within a few days, the number of provinces in which the incidence value increased by at least 40% compared to that of the previous seven days increased from 30 to 45. The list includes Rome and Turin. In addition, 16 of these provinces have reached the threshold value of 50 cases per week per 100,000 inhabitants.

This is indicated by the analyzes of the mathematician Giovanni Sebastiani, of the Institute for the Applications of Calculation "M.Picone", of the National Research Council (Cnr), which however provides encouraging data for Sardinia: the island is "the only region - explains Sebastiani - which at the moment does not appear to be involved in the resumption of infections, both at a regional and provincial level ". And the motivation, according to the expert, is very precise: "Considering the current high incidence values in the countries of the Balkan peninsula, in some of which the situation is serious as in Romania and Bulgaria, it is important to have a capillary control of the flows in entry into our country: the situation in Sardinia is proof of this ”.

THE ANALYSIS - From the analysis it emerges that there are 20 other provinces in which the increase is between 20% and 40% and among these there is also that of Milan. "Trieste - continues Sebastiani - continues to suffer the highest incidence value (184 cases per week per 100,000 inhabitants) and all the provinces of Friuli Venezia Giulia are involved".

Here are the values measured in the 45 provinces: Trieste (184), Catania (101), Rieti (96), Bolzano (91), Gorizia (83), Forlì-Cesena (74), Rovigo and Reggio di Calabria (69) , Terni (62), Enna (61), Massa Carrara and Siena (58), Fermo (57), Pisa (55), Viterbo (52), Latina (50), Bologna and Grosseto (49), Rome (47) , Caserta (46), Perugia and Trento (45), Salerno (43), Lucca (42), Turin (40), Chieti and Macerata (39), Foggia, Vercelli and Modena (38), Ancona (37), Livorno (36), Pordenone (35), Taranto (34), Cremona and Udine (32), Lecce (29), Piacenza (26), Brindisi (24), Verbano-Cusio-Ossola and Ascoli Piceno (21), Campobasso ( 20), Mantua (19), Lecco (18), Bari (17).
