High-speed traffic has returned to normal following the collision between two trains which occurred yesterday evening near Faenza and in which 17 people were slightly injured.

The accident on the Bologna-Rimini line while the convoys were traveling at low speed in the same direction and collided.

The collision occurred around 8.20pm between a regional vehicle and an Freccia. Probably something went wrong in the communications and the following train hit the one in front. It is assumed, but this aspect will also have to be ascertained in the investigations, that the train driver noticed the obstacle along the tracks and, also given the consequences for staff and passengers, the speed was very low.

In fact, 17 people were treated, but none of them reported trauma or serious injuries. However, the accident inevitably caused traffic slowdowns.
