The Court of Assizes in Rome has sentenced Rassoul Bissoultanov, the Chechen accused of the murder of Niccolò Ciatti, to 23 years.
The boy died in August 2017 during a violent beating outside a club in Lloret de Mar in Spain .
The prosecutor had asked for life imprisonment.
The judges reaffirmed the accusation of voluntary homicide but ruled out aggravating circumstances against the defendant, currently on the run . The Chechen citizen has already been sentenced to 15 years in prison in Spain for the same incident.
