"Melt them in the acid", "let him end up like Cucchi": these are the sentences contained in a private chat where some carabinieri vent against Gabriele Natale Hjorth and Finnegan Lee Elder, the two American boys sentenced in first degree to life imprisonment for the murder of Deputy Brigadier Mario Cerciello Rega.

It is yet another chapter of the story, which features the contents of the whatsapp group which included some carabinieri. Contents that ended up on record in the trial against Fabio Manganaro, the Arma soldier on trial for Hjort's bandage . Manganaro is accused of "a rigor measure not provided for by law".

The Weapon defines those tones as "offensive and execrable" and evaluates measures: "As soon as the documents with the names of the soldiers involved are made available, the Weapon - reads the statement released by the General Command - will immediately start the consequent disciplinary proceedings for the adoption of measures of absolute rigor ".

Expressions full of anger in the hours following the arrest of the two Americans in Rome on July 26, 2019, after the murder of Cerciello.

"We caught them we are on our way to the ward", writes a carabiniere in the chat immediately after the capture, the colleagues comment: "Kill them", or "let's hope they make them end up like Cucchi".

Among the sentences finished now to the attention of the monochrome judge there is also that of a soldier who writes: "Don't come and tell me let's just arrest them. They have to take the blows. You have to lock them in a room and really kill them", others comment: "you have to melt them in acid".
