Blow to the Casamonica clan.

Personnel of the Crime Police Division of the Rome Police Headquarters is executing a decree of confiscation of assets issued by the Prevention Measures Section Court of Rome for an estimated total value of over 20 million euros against Giuseppe Casamonica, his son Guerrino, called Pele, and Christian Casamonica, son of Ferruccio.

The protagonists were involved in organized and extensive usurious activities and abusive use of credit, as well as in extortion and fictitious registration of assets, crimes for which the precautionary measure of custody in prison was applied.

The confiscation concerns the sumptuous "Villa Sonia" with swimming pool, in the availability of "Pele", the other historic villa with swimming pool belonging to the family, in the availability of Giuseppe Casamonica, and a villa in Monterosi, in the province of Viterbo. Two of the three confiscated villas have been assigned for social purposes: one is home to a project for neo-adults, former guests of family homes, managed by the Lazio Region, while that of Monterosi has been entrusted to the Municipal Administration. Among the other properties affected by the provision also the villa used by Christian Casamonica and three apartments located in Rome and its province.

The Court of Rome also confiscated all the shares of 5 joint-stock companies, an "IP" branded service station with a tobacconist bar and a tobacconist bar, precious objects for a value of over 30 thousand euros, 10 pledges for a value of over 30 thousand euros and bank availability for a value of 65 thousand euros in various credit institutions.
