It happened a few days ago at a lottery shop in Pradamano, in the province of Udine, but the news, as reported by the newspaper Messaggero Veneto, spread yesterday.

The protagonist of the story is a young man who arrived in Friuli from Campania a few weeks ago for a job. He went to Velox Pizza and bought the three tickets, scratched them off, and won a considerable sum. When he realized it, he fainted and had to be rescued. The owner of the restaurant, Arian Toska, who runs it with his wife, Mirela Mance, recounted the incident. "For a few weeks, we had known this young man who came every evening after work," the Friulian newspaper reports. "On Thursday, for the first time, at the suggestion of a friend, he bought three €5 "Numerissimi" tickets and went to sit at the tables outside with his colleagues. Shortly afterward, he returned to verify that what he had in his hands was indeed a winning ticket. After a quick and careful check, we confirmed that, yes, he had just won €500,000."

At that point," the owner continued, "the boy told me he was feeling sick and asked for water. Then he collapsed on the floor and lost consciousness. We helped him, and fortunately he quickly recovered and felt better. A family member arrived shortly afterward and took him home. As far as we know, he then returned to his hometown in Campania, but we never saw him again." The owners of the restaurant nevertheless celebrated their win.
