"With the excuse of a snack I made him sit on the chair, and I landed a sharp blow."

These are the words with which Davide Paitoni, the 40-year-old arrested for killing his 7-year-old son Daniele, in Morazzone, in the province of Varese, reconstructed in front of the investigators the ways in which he carried out his shocking gesture, before deciding to entrench themselves in silence, without answering the questions of the investigating judge.

A gruesome tale. According to the pre-trial detention order, that day the 40-year-old "proposes a drawing to the son he is about to slaughter to surprise his grandfather", and so he tells his hearing-impaired grandfather to "wait for him in his room where he is looking at the TV".

Then "he stuck a piece of cloth in his mouth to prevent him from screaming", the document continues, "which leads us to think of the little boy's awareness that something terrible was about to happen to him".

After killing his son Daniele and locking him in the closet, Paitoni then left his

home without his father noticing. "I know it sucks to kill your own child -

he told him in a vowel sent to his parent that, due to hearing problems, he didn't listen until the carabinieri arrived - but don't open my closet, dad. "

Having killed the child, Paitoni sent a message to his wife, telling her that he was going to bring it back, stating that "he had spent a beautiful day with Daniele".

Once with her, in Gazzada Schianno, also in the Varese area, he lured her outside the family home and attacked her in the face, abdomen and back, insulting and blaming her for the incident and screaming at her that the son was hiding in the car to observe the scene.

And he did the same in the letter left on Daniele's corpse, where he spoke of "a gesture made to make the woman I truly loved suffer" and, according to what is contained in the precautionary custody order, "for retaliation against family members "of her." Several times Paitoni would have said to his little son "your grandmother is a m ... a".

Furthermore, according to the investigating judge of Varese, "the unrealized threat of suicide appears to be a means of misleading research".

Meanwhile, the community is preparing to say goodbye to little Daniele. The funeral will take place in Gazzada Schianno next Friday, January 7th.

Maurizio Mazzucchelli, the mayor of Morazzone - Municipality where Daniele was killed - announced it on social media, adding that on the occasion "city mourning will be proclaimed in both Morazzone and Gazzada Schianno".
