A 34-year-old worker dies after falling into a hole in an oil mill.

The 34-year-old worker who fell from a height of nine meters while working at an oil mill on Via Foggia, in Barletta, died late yesterday evening.

The man, originally from Barletta, arrived in critical condition at the city hospital's emergency room and was then transferred to Bonomo Hospital in Andria, where he later died in the intensive care unit. According to findings by the Carabinieri and technicians from the Spesal (healthcare unit) of the ASL BAT (Local Health Authority), the 34-year-old was on a basket near the mouth of a silo when, for reasons yet to be determined, he fell into the void. The area has been cordoned off.
