51 kilos of cocaine seized in the port of Livorno
Operation by the Guardia di Finanza and the Customs Agency51 kilos of pure cocaine were seized by the Customs and Monopolies Agency together with the Guardia di Finanza at the port of Livorno.
The drugs were hidden in a container that had arrived from South America. It was divided into dozens of loaves in a container carrying a food load.
The drug, after being sampled and analyzed in the ADM laboratory in Livorno, will be destroyed in an incinerator and thus removed from drug dealing squares where it would have yielded over 35 million euros to organized crime.
The activities, carried out in close operational synergy between the Fiamme Gialle and Adm, were coordinated by the public prosecutor of Livorno which confirmed the seizure. One person has been arrested.
