Night of celebrations and tears, the real ones, for Cagliari's return to Serie A after just one year and a crazy finish, a goal in the 94th minute in full stoppage time against Bari that froze the 58,000 spectators at San Nicola and upset a destiny which seemed marked after the 1-1 draw four days ago at the Domus.

Claudio Ranieri, Leonardo Pavoletti and the other heroes gave a dream to all of Sardinia, which exploded with enthusiasm.

And last night at 4 the gratitude was felt, with the fans waiting for their heroes at the airport, welcoming them with banners and chants: “Serie A! A league! A league!". A roar greeted Pavoletti's arrival.

The excitement for the 4,500 at the Fair was enormous, in front of the giant screen set up by the Municipality, who went from possible disappointment to irrepressible joy in a fraction of a second. After Pavoletti's paw, nothing was understood between hugs, swirls of scarves, glasses of beer flying in the air.

The party extended to the whole island, and beyond, for the umpteenth masterpiece of King Claudius II.
